Who we are
Jepun Indonesia in UK Charity UK registered charity no. 109772
Jepun Indonesia was established by a small group of Indonesian ladies living in London to raise funds to help fund the educational needs of some of the children in Bali who lost a working parent(s) as a consequence of a terrorism act in 2002. Since then it has expanded the scope of the charity support to include natural disasters in Indonesia, including the Aceh Tsunami in 2004.
The charity was registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales on 23rd July 2003.
Jepun Indonesia Charity raises funds from private individuals and corporate donations, as well as through a number of fundraising events it organises during each year. All the funds raised go to Indonesia through local grassroots organisations to benefit the victims of natural disaster events in Indonesia with the continuing focus on education of children in need, training of *disadvantaged* young people, and *women's* empowerment.
Jepun is a name given to the iconic frangipani flower in Balinese dialect.
